The Journal Square Operations Team works together with local employees and residents to keep Journal Square Clean and Safe. This afternoon Journal Square Ambassador, Jamaal Robinson and P.O. Steve Beck from the SID Off-duty Police detail greeted visitors from the Jehovah Witness Center as they passed through the kiosk area on their way to eat lunch at one of our several popular fast-food establishments.

Shoplifter on JFK Boulevard

A shopper was advised this afternoon not to return to the Rainbow Shop after it was discovered by a Rainbow Shop Security Guard that she had taken an item of clothing from the store without paying for it. The shopper gave the clothing item back without incident and then continued on her way. She was later stopped by Police and questioned inside the 10 Spot. A SID Off-duty Police Officer advicsed her at the request of the store owners, not to return to either location. The SID Off-duty Police response time was under 2 minutes.
