Jersey City narcotics officers confiscated about 200 bags of suspected cocaine when they arrested three men on drug charges near Journal Square, police reports said.

Frederick Issard, 39, of Academy Street; Jeffrey Shurn, 27, of Stegman Street; and Preston White, 41, of Ninth Street, were arrested on various drug charges, Thursday at 2:25 p.m. at Academy Street off Baldwin Avenue, reports said.

Based on complaints of narcotics activity, police set up surveillance at Issard's residence and watched as White met Shurn at the front door and allegedly bought drugs from Shurn, reports said. Perimeter units arrested White and found he had one bag of suspected cocaine, reports said.

Police then arrested Issard and Shurn in the building's vestibule, finding Shurn had 11 bags of suspected cocaine and Issard had 20, reports said. Inside Issard's apartment they found about 150 bags of suspected cocaine and 15 bags of suspected marijuana, reports said.

Police also found a video camera in the building's vestibule sending images to a monitor in Issard's room, reports said.
